The first floating house of the Dubai marina project has reached Dubai Water Channel, Lersu near the
city's latest attraction in the Gulf Business District.
Dubai Properties, the master developer of the project, said the coming days would see more homes floating in the Gulf Business District as part of the company's transformation from the bustling commercial hub of the business bay, The National reported.
Once completed, Marassi Business Bay will feature advanced floating water houses that come with swimming pools and floating restaurants. It will also include a park, a pier and a marina that will eventually feature 800 berths along the Dubai Canal, making it the first yacht center built in the region. The heart of the city, according to Dubai Properties.
Dubai Properties Group, a member of Dubai Holding, at the 2016 Cityscape World Expo, has revealed that this AED 1 billion project is on track to become the most popular destination on the city's waterfront. In November, RTA announced the opening of nine offshore stations on the Dubai Water Channel, four in the Business Bay and five along the Dubai Canal. Water cruises, taxis and luxury yachts can travel between Deira, Bur Dubai and Dubai Marina all the way to Jumeirah and Business Bay.
Floating homes are part of Dubai Properties' ambitious projects and the project is part of the company's ambition to introduce real estate innovations that combine centuries of maritime and commercial heritage with a sophisticated design that will forever transform the emirate's waterfront.
