Watch the volcano eruption on Kamchatka Island, Russia
Regions in the Kamchtka peninsula in Russia's far east have awakened to a strong eruption of a volcano that has been considered a silent and inactive volcano for years
The volcano, located in the Kamcha region of Prussia, launched columns of volcanic ash that can be seen clearly 40 kilometers to the east of Russia. Experts confirmed that this is the strongest eruption of the volcano this year.
Geologists said the volcano was lava and pulled gases and rocks over an area of about five kilometers around the volcano. The lava reached one of the nearby rivers and destroyed one of the geological research centers and some tourist camps there.
The Kamchaka region has more than 150 volcanoes, 29 in active condition.
