The only extraterrestrial planet that has been directly seen and photographed by astronauts is the moon's sky. Titan, Mars and Venus are detected indirectly by space probes designed to land on the surface and transfer images to Earth. The properties of the heavens outside the Earth seem to vary greatly because of a number of factors. If an atmosphere is found outside the Earth, it has a significant influence on visual properties. Atmospheric density and chemical composition can contribute to color variations, as well as opacity (including cloudiness) and the presence of clouds.
